Challenge Access steps and entrances to vehicles can be difficult and even dangerous for children, less nimble, partially sighted or otherwise disadvantaged passengers. They also take the heaviest wear and soiling.

Solution! The Altro Transflor range of stair nosings have been designed for visibility and durability. When selecting your interior colour scheme you should bear in mind that areas such as gaps, steps, or changes in levels, all of which constitute hazards, need to be highly visible. There may be health and safety legislation stipulating the colour and designs that designate a warning.

Stair nosing options
Altro can help provide either aluminium or PVC nosings,
which are all suitable for use in trains, buses and ships.

PVC nosings are available in a range of highly visible colours.

Aluminium nosings can be supplied fitted with coloured inserts.
