flash (coving) Differential movement between subfloors and adjoining vertical surfaces can cause weakness in coverings, sometimes resulting in water penetration. The best practice to avoid this hazard is to flash (cove) floor covering between horizontal and vertical surfaces wherever possible. When floor covering is up on a wall, it must be supported underneath by an existing metal cove or Altro cove former. Altro cove formers are available in a range of sizes to fit most requirements. Contact your Altro dealer for details. |
